Mount Sinai Hospital
Critical Care Unit

Description of rotations for residents
Postgraduate trainees of postgraduate year (PGY) 2 and above in various medical and surgical programs at the University of Toronto are assigned to one or two month rotations by their residency programs. Currently, our Critical Care Unit is the highest rated unit during rotation selections by trainees. Generally, there are 4 PGY-2 or PGY-3 trainees rotating in the unit at any time.

We can occasionally accomodate additional postgraduate trainees from external institutions. External trainees must be officially registered with the University of Toronto and sponsored by their training program. Applicants for external electives must be eligible for a postgraduate educational license from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
